Title: Director of Special Education and Student Services. I am in my 10th year in this role, after having been a School Psychologist for 16 years.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your work?
There are so many rewarding aspects to my job! The most rewarding thing is watching students’ growth and progress over the years and seeing them as they are ready to graduate and go off onto a career or post-secondary education. Knowing that I played a small part in getting students ready for life after school is so gratifying. I often get to read some of their names at graduation, which is one of my favorite things to do. The opportunity to build relationships with families is equally rewarding.
What is the greatest benefit of being a NAPSA member?
The greatest benefits of belonging to NAPSA for me are the legal updates and research briefs. I appreciate having these resources that are so pertinent to my job. The webinars provided on timely topics are well done and appreciated.
