The National Alliance of Specialized Instructional Support Personnel (NASISP) recognizes April 27-May 1, 2026 as National Specialized Instructional Support Personnel Appreciation Week! NASISP urges you to use this opportunity to show your pride and celebrate the work you do to support students, schools, parents, and your fellow educators.

NAPSA is a member organization of NASISP and joins NASISP in believing that all students should have access to the supports and services they need, in the least restrictive environment, to achieve optimal development, academic and personal success, and empowerment through the lifespan. We support equity and inclusiveness for all students.  We support and advocate for SISP professionals to use best practices and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary education team. We also advocate for the students and families who deserve and can benefit from specialized instructional support services.

During the week, we ask that you showcase how your work matters by discussing the importance of SISP in schools.
