What is the most rewarding aspect of your work?
We have six shared values in the Owen J. Roberts School District: students first, collaborative approaches, authentic relationships, belonging and kindness, multiple perspectives, and continuous growth and innovation. Each of these values naturally aligns with and strengthens the important work of the Pupil Services Department. As we keep these values at the center of our decision making, the most rewarding part of this work is seeing students receive the support they need to succeed, and truly flourish, as valued members of our school community.
What is the greatest benefit of being a NAPSA member?
One of my mentors taught me early in my career as an administrator to prioritize my own learning. The knowledge I gain through publications, professional development opportunities, and the chance to connect with and learn from others has been one of the greatest benefits of my NAPSA membership. In turn, this helps me collaborate more effectively with my colleagues as we support our students.
