Title: Director of Employee and Labor Relations, Prince George’s County Public Schools. Prior to this, I served in Student Services as a School Psychologist for six years, and then four years as Special Education Supervisor for Winton Woods City Schools in Forest Park, Ohio. This was followed by five years as Director of Student Services for Arlington Public Schools in Arlington Virginia, and then three years as Executive Director of Student Services for Alexandria City Public Schools in Alexandria, Virginia.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your work?

  • Planning supports and services for students and families.
  • I enjoy problem-solving.

What is the greatest benefit of being a NAPSA member?

  • Networking. The board members are great and very knowledgeable. Also, connecting with others across the US in student services leadership positions.
  • Attending the conferences – Specific PD for Student Services professionals is hard to find. NAPSA has been great at filling the void.
