Title: Director of Student Services
What is the most rewarding aspect of your work?
The most rewarding aspect of my work is serving as the bridge between students, families, schools, and the broader community—ensuring that every student has access to the support they need to succeed. In my role as Director of Student Services and Pupil Personnel Services Administrator, I have the privilege of connecting students and families facing real challenges with meaningful resources that remove barriers to learning and well-being. Equally fulfilling is supporting and empowering my team—Pupil Personnel Workers, school counselors, mental health professionals, and nurses—who do this work daily at the ground level. By equipping them with the tools, systems, and support they need, I help expand our collective impact and ensure that services are not only accessible, but responsive and effective.
Ultimately, the most rewarding part of this work is seeing students overcome obstacles, re-engage in their education, and experience success—knowing that our systems of support played a role in changing the trajectory of their lives.
What is the greatest benefit of being a NAPSA member?
The greatest benefit of being a member of National Association of Pupil Services Administrators is the opportunity to be part of a national network of leaders who are collectively committed to removing barriers to student success and advancing equitable access to supports, services, and programs. Ultimately, the greatest benefit is the ability to both grow as a leader and contribute to a larger movement—one that ensures every student, regardless of circumstance, has the opportunity to thrive.
